The Medical Device Operator Ordinance requires every medical office operator to keep a medical device book (§12 of the MPBetreibV). All data on the medical devices used in practice must be documented here. This initially concerns technical data such as serial numbers, functional tests or the results of safety checks. In addition, the instructed persons must be documented with the date as well as all tests and incidents. The medical device book must be accessible to all users in the doctor's practice during work.
